Seiden & Schein, P.C. is pleased to announce that David Shamshovich has been named a partner in the firm. David joined the firm in early 2016 and is a vital member of its Inclusionary Housing Development Group, Inclusionary Air Rights and Development Rights Group, and the Transactions, Financing and Leasing Group, with experience in a wide range of real estate matters.

David guides developers through the application, approval and completion processes under the Voluntary Inclusionary Housing (VIH), Mandatory Inclusionary Housing (MIH) and Affordable Independent Residences for Seniors (a/k/a Privately Financed Affordable Senior Housing) Programs and represents clients in connection with various development related transactions, including the purchase and sale of real estate, Inclusionary Housing air rights and development air rights, joint venture agreements and license and access agreements.

According to founding partner, Alvin Schein, the decision to make David a partner was easy: “David has effectively navigated our firm’s clients through the oftentimes rough seas of HPD’s various affordable housing programs. His tenacity and dedication has ensured our client’s success time and time again, and his partnership is well deserved.”

Seiden & Schein. P.C. has been an industry leader in the area of zoning incentives, real estate tax incentives, and cooperative and condominium law (for both market-rate and affordable housing projects) for more than two decades. It remains on the cutting edge as the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development expands existing programs and creates new programs for the development and preservation of affordable housing.

David is pleased to have been named as a partner at Seiden & Schein, P.C. and is excited for the opportunity to contribute further to the firm’s legacy as the “go to” firm for sophisticated developers.
